1. Listen to the highest level of each chapter. At the bottom of each page, there is a simple comprehension question from the page.

Lesson 16, Activity 3: Editing a letter
1. Read the review of basic writing mechanics at the top of the page.
2. Use the list of mistakes as a check and locate all of the errors on the page. 
3. The hardest to find are periods so have the student read the sentence or you read the sentence clearly showing that there is a definite end where punctuation may be needed.

1. Use the communication board page and introduce the words by reading aloud to the student clearly through the list.
2. Then have either student read the list independently or to random words pointed at. 
3. If required by student need, say the word and have the student locate the same word.
