Health covers the balance of the dimensions of health through the components of physical, emotional, mental, social, environmental, and spiritual wellness. Seventh grader students will focus on how to build healthy relationships, build conflict resolution skills, gain nutrition knowledge, understand the importance and longevity of physical activity, positive body image, and recognizing all forms of bullying. Eighth grade students will go on finish the semester with growth, development, and sexual health, injury prevention, safety, alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. The goal of this course is to introduce tools that that can be utilized in balancing overall personal health, relationships with peers, and embracing a balanced diet and physical activity.
