Council, please complete the attached nomination form and return
it to the school office. Site council meets a few times each year
to review the school plan. It is a mixture of parents/community
members, Sam Brannan students, and school staff.
Please return nomination form by Friday, October 18.
This policy describes the means for carrying out designated Title
I, Part A parent and family engagement requirements pursuant to
ESSA Section 1116(c).
To involve parents in the Title I, Part A programs, the following
practices have been established:
The school distributes to parents of Title I, Part A students, a
school-parent compact (Compact). The Compact, which has been
jointly developed with parents, outlines how parents, the entire
school staff, and students will share the responsibility for
improved student academic achievement. The Compact describes
specific ways the school and families will partner to help
children achieve the state’s high academic standards. The Compact
addresses the following legally required items, as well as other
items suggested by parents of Title I, Part A students:

PM in the office
The
Sacramento City Unified School District has
established the Sam Brannan Middle Schoolschoolsite Council. Hereinafter, this
schoolsite council may be referred to
as the council.
All elementary and middle schools have decided to participate in
the School Based Coordinated Program (SBCP) using School
Improvement Program funds; therefore, they are REQURIED to have
School Site Councils. (Some high schools have school site
councils to administer other programs and funds. The bylaws
of these councils govern their activities.) Half of the Council
members are school staff; the majority of this group must be
classroom teachers.
Call the attendance office at (916) 395-5360 ext. 1 or fill out
the form below. If no call is made or the online form is not
used, a note is required to clear the absence. All absences will
be verified. If an absence is not cleared within 3 days,
it will be considered a truancy.
