Language Arts

Students in language arts are expected to master all reading, writing, language, and technology standards according to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).

The student will:

• Develop an appreciation for learning, scholarly discussion, and investigation.
• Demonstrate ability to write a Research Paper, Fictional Narrative, Argumentative Paragraph, Response to Literature, and various forms of Poetry.
• Learn to use writing effectively for a variety of purposes with correct spelling, grammar and mechanics.
• Expand their current reading comprehension level, writing , and vocabulary.
