Studio Art

Intro Studio Art 1: Exploring the 7 Elements of Art: Line, Shape, Form, Value, Space, Texture and Color. Experimentation with different forms of graphite, condensed charcoal, sharpies, pastels, watercolors and acrylic paints. Still life drawings. Exhibiting work weekly, and practicing how to critique others in a constructive manner. Exposure to Modern and Contemporary artists’ work.​

Studio Art 2: Expanding upon the lessons in Studio Art 1. Student driven art projects with a clear plan, carried through to completion. Exhibiting work for the school community. Using materials introduced in Studio Art 1. Exposure to the works of Modern and Contemporary artists. Culminating with a field trip to the Crocker Art Gallery.
